At the end of this current season we should start thinking about putting together our own team.
I know that we have some good snipers. Dev, Sinter, McPatty, and some others. You guys should start putting your heads together.and see what you need.

What is the typical time frame for ICSL rounds? On Sundays only?

There is not really a time frame, what you need is dedicated sniper that can dovte maybe 4 hours per week-end for two matches, it is becoming very hard for us who are still in the ICSL team that was started at the beginning of this season. I for myself don't think we will be able tyo compete next year for the only reason that people are too busy to comitt time for it, I myself have been busy for the past 2 months with my move and all, but still made at least 2 hours per week-end for a match. If you want more info on the ICSL you can visit their site at www.I-C-S-L.com, if you have any more questions send me a pm or an email at punker4life_69@hotmail.com and I will try my best to answer them with the best of my knowledge.

Thanks, McPatty.

That helps me alot. Take it easy on your move - We are still not settled back into Brazil yet. We have a container that has a bunch of our stuff that was to arrive tomorrow ... WAS - now, who knows when it'll arrive.

I put this on the map thread, but we need actually sniper maps, so we can at least mix it up, and at best maybe compete next year. ICSL matches are scheduled by the team captains, and take place in the early afternoon in the USA time zones on both Saturday and Sunday. Like McPatty said, the team has been really busy, and we were missing a lot of Saturday matches because of this. As such this season has become all Sunday matches and I can't do Sundays due to my church and other commitments. However even though it has been difficult we still manage to play and win.

Even if we can't play next year, we should help to continue mixing it up by adding real sniper maps.

I love to snipe too, but don't have time during mid day on the weekends usually. That's one reason I didn't participate in ICSL this season.

I think starting a up another {AOW} team is a great idea.

I agree with Dev of this, we should have some sniper maps in the map rotation, no need for an other server, just throw some snipe maps in the server we have now. I don't think the AOW name will be a problem next year for the guys I sniper with, I'm not even sure if thay will have a team up.

With the Extreme mod we run we don't need another server as we can vote on maps. So that way we cut costs while still getting the advantage and fun of having snipe. Also we have noticed with a lot of sniper servers is that they don't generate a huge amount of traffic. Even big name snipe servers like HKS and TOB are having hard times keeping their servers full. So by doing it this way, we can have snipe when we want it, and not wasting the money keeping it running when it would really only be used for a couple hours(maybe) each day with more traffic on weekends.

I love to snipe!!!!!!! However, like HD, I can't commit time due to family, work, & church obligations. I can maybe be an alternate or something though or just help you guys practice & give you a target on the maps!

I have found a good website (I think)

http://www.codutility.com/index.php?file=Download&op=categorie&cat=9

you can pick and choose some maps from there

Mac...

Check the portal page, on the left side near the bottom!

But another question is, can we set the server up in such a way to snipe on it on the sniper maps only with our mod in place? I think the only one that can answer that would be DB. I know that our previous dedicated sniper servers had a sniper mod on it allowing for things like steady aim, sniper rifles only, no cross zones, etc.

DB...Is this something that's fairly simple to set up while keeping the current mod / maps in place?

If you get a true sniper map, they are set up that way for no cross areas. Has nothing to do with the mod.

I would love to see some big snipe maps in rotation and we can vote when to put them on. So if you are affraid it will scare off new players then we wont vote when they are here..

Anyways.. thanks for those guys who take the time to try to get new things on the server.. Thats what makes it great.
