COD SNIPER TOURNAMENT SERVER

I have sent out some emails to some of the clans of cod that are not currently competeing in ICSL tournament didn't figure any clans in the iscl would even want to mess with this but if I can get something going how many of you would like to be apart of AOWs sniper teams for tournament? just tring to figure out what everyone thinks and where we stand on this since some of you were part of our old sniper teams and know how much of a pain icsl was some of you are the ones I want imput from as for how many matches,how often how long etc I want to make a friendly place for all clans to feel at home not feel as if they are in another one of our servers, there for we will have a somewaht of a simple but extensive BOD for the tournament not nearly as complicated as what ICSL has set up.

as for teams I am thinking of 4 or 5 man teams with an alternate incase someone cannot be there to compete some time life doesnt allow us to do things like this.

I am thinking 2 times a month on a weekend sat or sunday depending on how many teams may have to do some adjusting.

ok i have wrote up the rules for the tournament and if you remember when we had a small tournament of our own we called it SNIPERS this is what the tournament will be called (SGT) SNIPERS GROUP TOURNAMENT I just checked the mod and it is ready to go works great just need to get the old maps from the orginal snipers tournament hopefully db still has them. The rules are fairly extensive but basic and there will be a BOD or SBOD SNIPERS BOARD OF DIRECTORS all team captains will be in this.


sniper teams will be a 4 man team and we will just play 2 times a month once elimination is done.


once I get some feedback from the 10 clans I sent off to and all of you I will post the rules and regs.

I'll play in it I just can't do Sunday's usually do to other responsibilities.

As for feedback, I like the just for fun aspect especially since not many clans were willing to do ICSL for COD 1. I guess my question is are we charging registration/participation fees for this tourney?

no registration or any of that stuff this will be an AOW sponsored server I foot the bill just get your team and come play when you are suppossed to I know alot of people dont like icsl and wont play and that is fine this is just going to be a good old boys sniper tournament

I am still waiting on some feed back from other clans and see if we can get some people together I am sure here at AOW we can get atleast 1 team and I am hoping for 2 but I dont know.


Here is the rules and regs and what nots about this tournament see if you like it or if I am out of line.





SNIPERS GROUP TOURNAMENT

INFO:

This is a layout of rules and regs and just plain old information you need to know. This is a Snipers
tournament and it will run custom sniper only maps and use the snipers_t_mod, a mod I made just for
tournaments. Since this is a tournament server Please make yourself at home like it is one of your own.
I under no instance expect any help from anyone in the way of donations for this server I am just going
to foot the bill cause this is something I would like to do.


SERVER:

This will more than likely end up being a 13 or 14 slot private server teams will be 4 snipers per team
with one alternate if no alternate is available this is fine but if you are short a team mate you will
just have to play one short inless a match can be rescheduled with the 2 team leaders and the SBOD
(SNIPERS BOARD OF DIRECTORS) I will add all teams (CLANS) to the server information which can be seen at any
time this can also be handy to use for match results or scheduling etc. whatever needs to be added
I can do so. once all teams are selected you will have to nominate a captain (GO TO GUY) this is
your teams spokesman and will consult with the SBOD to set up scheduling of your teams play times.


ADMINISTRATION:

The SBOD will consist of all the team captains of the sniper teams competeing this way all complaints
or comments can be voiced from each team. All nessary changes that need to be made ether to the tournament
or something releated to it will be voted on by the SBOD.


SNIPER_T_MOD:


This mod is a very simple and basic mod it just simply replaces some banners with the SNIPERS logo changes
some of the icons as well as the weapon backs and the compass, each team will have the option to select
1 of the 3 orginal sniper rifles the rifles are not modified in anyway except for the scope which
has been inhanced slightly with a larger field of view and a bit more zoom and there is a blood mod added
in for more effects you will have a pistol but you will have no Grenades at all.


MAPS:


At this time there is no set maps to be run we can run whatever maps you choose if anyone has a prefernce it
can be voted in by the SBOD. I would like to see tournament specific maps myself but this is not always
possible I can get ahold of about 4 maps that no one has ever seen cause I have never released them and
they are just sniper maps as well as 2 or 3 old SNIPERS tourament maps we never released as well.



RULES AND REGS:


This is just simple and basic rules
1).No cheating of any kind
2).No cussing,racial slurs,hurtful remarks of any kind.
3).No map exploiting
4).All complaints can be filed with the SBOD and reviewed and voted on
5).No argueing with referee if you don't like the call dispute it.
6).Just use plain old common sense.
7).Remember we are all here to have fun with a little bit of competitive sport added in please try to get along
and have fun that is what this is all about.
.all scores will be logged at the end of each round screenshots will be needed for points verification and scoring.
9). there will be 8 snipers and hopefully atleast 2 alternates in the server with the refs to keep things fair.
10).Be fair don't complain when not needed.

I am sure we will have to add some rules but that is the basics and I feel like it is enough.


TOURNAMENT:


How this will all unfold is kinda simple really we will just have a play off if you will all teams will
have to play each other all kills will be combined per team and and a winner will be chosen all teams will play
the exact same map until all have competed and we will then set up placements on combine game scores to set up a
bracket and we will comense our tournament.

example: sniper teams A B C D Team A scores 50 in all 3 matches B scores 40 in all 3 matches C scores 30 in all 3
matches and D scores 20 in all 3 matches that puts the score total combine to A 150 B 120 C 90 and D 60
A has first slot then B then C then D so first match will end up being A versus B and C versus D scores
will be totaled and once a tournament length has been selected there will be a final elimination winner takes all.


PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS:

There will be 8 Snipers in the server this will leave 5 slots open 2 for the alternates and the rest for referees,
refs are just needed to help if there is a dispute and they will need to take screenshots of the end of the match
for score in and report the final scores to the SBOD for tallys. All team captains should take screenshots at the
end of the match as well there will be bonus points added if need be for kill to death ration in case of a tie.
if the match is a tie then we will tally up deaths lowest number of deaths wins. Players will be tracked by there
indiviual performance as well all players at the end of the tournament will have a player stats so to speak I will track
this myself via screenshots just for fun and to have the info. we will do a free for all after the tournament is
over for the tidal of best of the best this will go off of a total of the top 10 players kills and deaths combined
to see who is eligable this is the only part of the tournament that will be not done as a team.


PLACING AND RANKS:


There will only be 2 matches a month this will take place on a saturday or a sunday when everyone can meet
this will be decided by the SBOD and set up. Your teams ranks will be updated after every match as well as standings
and MVP of both teams will be sleceted (MOST KILLS) and logged.


SERVER RESTRICTION:


There will be no server restriction what will be done is we will populate the server with all the maps that the
SBOD has nominated and we will run them for 2 weeks and vote on what will stay and what will go there will be a
total of 10 maps in the server when it is all said and done. once the offical (SGT) SNIPERS GROUP TOURNAMENT has
elected all maps the tournament will then comense at its next scheduled time and eliminations will start
so we can get the brackets set up. during this time any time the server is not running the tournament the server
is free to roam and learn the mods and maps as you choose practice makes perfect!


PLAYER RESTRICTIONS:


There is no restrictions on how many players is from your clan as long as you can make teams of 4 it does't matter
if you got 16 people wanting to play then you got 4 teams the more the merrier I welcome as many as we can get.


REGAURDS/SBOD/SGT ADMINISTRATION

I was just looking at ICSL for cod seams like it is a bit complex and they make you pay registration? huh anyway all of you old snipers that were in the ICSL is there any clans you know of would want to compete in this? I didn't ask ISS,OS,UHS,GF cause I didnt figure they would want in but maybe I am wrong if you know any of them and think they might let me know. I have this in this section since I am just tring to see what everyone thinks and if we can make a go of it, the server the mods the maps are no issue what so ever just need the people.

Also to LTHD I know you mess with this site is it ok if we go forward with this sniper server to use this site as a main hub for the tournament? it will bring in traffic and since no matter what it will be an AOW sponsored tournament, just wondering if you don't want the traffic then we can use my site.

to TNT I know you used to be one of AOWs top Graphics people if you still mess with this stuff can you make banners for this when it is time? and possibly trophies if you will?

not sure tring to make this as simple for everyone as fun as it can be and as honorable as possible this way clans will want to compete and return to guard there tidal as well as have the honor of carring the SNIPERS banner tournament winner if they win.

Like I said we just need the people

some of the clans I have sent off to are:

SFM,WZ,DOB,RRMS,RF and about 5 more as well so far I got 2 no so just waiting on the rest as of now.

Sounds good to me, I'll definitely be in if this gets cleared. Also I think we can get one team together, we don't have a lot of the old snipers around, many left in the last row because of their own issues.
As for more clans, if I remember right SOS still runs a COD 1 snipe server. I haven't checked it lately, but I figure there is one more for you. The rest that I can think of really only run COD 4 ones, and many of those didn't keep them around. Others to try are the MHZ or Metal heads, TOB or The Old Breed, OSS, ABC which started as an of shoot of AOW and still has the Psycho family (They don't run COD 1 or 4 servers anymore but they have enough COD 1 enthusists that they would play. Do send a PM to Sinter, he loves COD 1 and UO and always showed up to our snipe matches. Because of time differentials between the US and Holland we don't catch him much in the servers, but not only will he play, I bet you he knows of more clans willing to just have fun.

yep i still do graphics, i just got another copy of photoshop last year and i am actually making $$ selling my designs at a website called Zazzle.com WOO HOO!!!!, i would be happy to do some graphics for you, let me know what you need and i will see what i can come up with.

I have changed up the forum categories and made a new area called SniperS. It's in the registered members area, so non-clan members can have access as well once they join the site. All news, info etc. related to this can be posted in there.

Again, I would welcome more traffic to this site, and believe that anything AOW related needs to be posted here. Not on another site.

awesome!! I LOVE that sniper mod!! Do you guys have that up as ur server or a server for CoD1? Ive gotta find my cod1 keys when I had to wipe my pc n reinstall windows I cant find my keys now! blah!! imma have to put a manhunt on them now! Miss the AOW mods!! Cya's in there sometime soon I hope!!

the cod 1 server that is up now is the mia mod just tdm the sniper tournament is going to be another mod I just got to get all the clans and teams competeing in this together try to figure who is who and who wants in this thing so I can do some planning

I can understand that ! It can be a pain.. I hope things go forward easily for you.. if I can not get enough guys together for abc is there a way to join another team? I dunno if I can get enough for a team... they are bums and play BO all the time.. lol

o we can figure something out also as of yesterday I added more cusytom maps to the cod servers and added sniper maps to it as well there is choices to pick a sniper map here and there so we have the best of both worlds
