Tossing the nade is easy, I was on for a bit Sunday & for the life of me I couldn't remember how to lay a trip wire!

well so far my pc is working again after a lot of driver changes and fan filter cleaning and one of my raid  hard drive was having a prob so any one of the many things i found could have been my prob.

cod1 is working for me again.
trip wires were part of our mod we had the mia mod that's prob why you couldn't get it to work. i am working on it i have the mod and cod1 is working for me but im having a hard time remembering how to install it and set it up its been a few years now since ive worked on a cod 1 server and game-servers does their servers a lot diff than a reg dedicated server is run

well Ive run into a little hitch the mod we have mia is for a window server not Linux os and game-servers run Linux os servers so i have to fig out what else this may entail in setting up the mod on the cod1 server. plus i think i might be missing a file for the server side of the mod but im still looking thew the mod files to see if im wrong about that. it looks like everything's there and i can play the mod on a home server set up, but its been a long time as i said before and and its slowly coming back to me as a reread setting up a server in cod1 so forgive me as i thought it would be a easy thing to do but this Linux os deal and no option in game-server to edit some server side files like the command line with out writing up a trouble ticket to have them make changes every time i test something is going to be a p.i.t.a ....
so just a update for everyone on the progress or lack of any determinable progress.
i will have it modded tho one way or the other soon even if i have to mod the mod to work some how.

Have you tried installing COD4 at all? I know we've had this conversation before.

well my pc has started doing the bso again.
im still working on the mod i put it on a usb drive and have been working on it with my little laptop. i am missing a couple of files for the mia mod so im trying to replace them with new ones. i opened up the mia mod pk3 and started going thru it and found most of it is the awe mod with some replaced graphic files the tnt and wraith made to replace the awe graphics. id say 90% of it is awe mod with 90% graphics from tnt and wraith, a few modified files the snoopy made. i just have go thew the mod and see what he mods he made to the awe mod and write the missing server side and serve cfg files needed. just a lot of commands to read thew and chech against the awe mod. so some more time than i had anticipated.
i did load the awe mod on the server and as i am working on the awe mode im making the setting for the awe mode so when i get threw reading the files for awe il turn the awe mod on in the server till i get the mia mod done. im thinking prob Sunday/Monday the server will be running awe mod.

sry guys best i can do with my desktop going stupid on me this little netbook is a peta to do mod work on.

Well that sucks bro about your PC. But I'd like to thank you for all your effort in trying to get this done! I know we are all excited about this and it will be fun to play this mod again for old times sake.. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know...

when it rains it pores, been with out internet since fri exp for my phone, so i just got it back today  about a 1/2 hour ago. and ive got the aw mod all set just have to load it to the server and test it so looks like tomorrow or wed it should be all done, and i can go back to work on the mia mod files that are missing. ill post here when its done.

well i got the mod all loaded to the awe fs game folder and the mod did not work. i rechecked everything that i can do and found that the when i looked in the console log the command line is missing the pointer to the fs game folder with the mod in it. i put in a trouble ticket to have them fix the prob with the missing pointer, so its a waiting game to see when they get it fixed.


OK THE MOD IS ON THE SERVER AND WORKING NOW!!! not the mia mod but the awe mod

i need to add custum maps next while i work on the mia mod so give me some cod1 maps you all want to play on the server i still have all the maps we use to play so just tell me what ones to load and put in rotation

here are some map names that i know are tdm. some are sniper maps but i cant remember witch ones.
 some are easy to tell they are snipe, but like valley it was played like snipe but it didnt have sides to it like a reg snipe map. any way here is what i know are tdm maps i have a lot more maps to go threw still and see what they are if dm or what. and some uo maps work with cod1 i still have to look threw them to.

and what's with PB? I still get an error message about the wrong version of PB, is it only me who's seeing this? I did a PB update......

 

i dont get any pb message its strange what is the exact message you get and i will see what i can figure out for you,

i will send a trouble ticket in also an see it the prob is on the server side and the pb up dates are not taking place or what i read in the game server forum about that being a prob in the past with cod1 servers

I keep getting kicked for "error loading PBag" on our COD4 server. Any ideas?

update your pb folder use this link and run the tool it will update all of your pb games it finds
