{AOW} POW cod2

Hi all,
my nickname is Karyxen. I am an old member of this clan, which I joined in 2006. At the time, I used to be known as {AOW} Andreas and had a lot of fun in CoD2 with {AOW} Quickdeath, {AOW}Makeveli, {AOW} SnOoPy, {AOW} Iceman and, sometimes, {AOW} Rabbit. We used to play in our server {AOW} POW with two special Mods, called POWAWE and POWmodv2, which I still preserve. The motto of the clan was "We are just better than you" and it was written on a wall in the map Caen, France:

Well, we are now only three members playing this game (me, {AOW} Le Marquis and {AOW} Memme), and I'd like you to come back even just for a couple of shots.

First let me say your post is somewhat of a surprise, but also confusing as well. I've personally have been playing {AOW} servers and visiting the website daily since 2005, and I must apologize but none of your names sound familiar.

DB, do you recognize these names?

The confusing part is that you stated that you and your friends are the only 3 {AOW} members playing and you want to invite us? Invite us to what? We are {AOW}, and this is our site. We are modding up a cool COD4 sniper server right now and it should be ready to play on in a few days.

Much has happened in the last 7-8 years, and we've cleaned up the member roster more than once. Due to these facts, your membership in this clan expired about 7 years ago, and you should remove the {AOW} tags from your names. These are our rules...

But, with that being said, we are recruiting right now, and looking for some great people to join us. If you and your friends are interested in re-joining {AOW}, and want to wear our legendary {AOW} tags, then please fill out an application found here:

i do not remember that name Karyxen or lemarquis or memme .
 qd and the others o yea as also i remember rafe (spelled wrong cant reminber how he spelled it now) and captmorgan and ky,  minnme and on and on fromt the very first back when the clan first started
hell me and qd use to play cod 2 more than everyone else put together in the clan i was the one that took care of the servers after snoopys move to the country and lost a fast enuf line to play, then after a year or two he gave it all over to crypton to run the clan and thats when me a crypton ran the servers till just before he pulled his deal on us.
good god got me all pissed off thing about all the crap we've been thru the last 8 yrs

i was thinking andreas  sound familiaer . but i cant be sure for sure i dont remember the others.
i dont think he was saying they still were the tags just that the three of them still play together and would like for use to meet up with them in a game of cod2.

i dont even know if i still have it on my pc any more i might still have the disks some were and even might still have the pow mod some were for the server side.
i still have a lot of the server stuff stashed away on old hard drive put away.
and in my old files me and snoopy (Dave) use to send back in forth to each other i know i have the nam mod and all the maps i made and the map that rabbit made and mod me and snoopy mad as well. i still have a lot of our old stuff some were around here maybe ill see if i can find a screen shot with the names on it in my old files

did you play in the cod1 servers as well as the cod2 servers

I'm sorry if my post seemed to be pretentious,
I joined the clan in 2006-07, after a proof supported in the presence of Quickdeath (in a new snowy map put in by you), who later introduced me to Snoopy. I was registred as Andreas to the old website, and I regularly paid for it. Just ask Quickdeath, Makeveli, Iceman or anyone I mentioned and he'll corroborate that—unfortunately, I don't have those screenshots anymore.
When the {AOW} POW server switched version, coming to 1.3 from 1.0, I was the only one playing with Quickdeath in a semi-empty server, because most of AOW members did not like the new version and decided to leave. (DB853, which was your nickname? I could remember about you...)
However, my intention was simply to ask you if you'd like to enjoy a game in cod2 with us, using the very nice Mods of the old server which I carefully preserved.
It's a pleasure for me to realize that the clan is still alive

hey no prob it wasn't pretentious just a miss communication in the way hd read it. thats the bad thing about forums post they can be misinterpreted very easily.
ive always been DB853 i used jolt and a few other names when i was in the servers under cover to watch what was going on.
 yea i remember switching the server to the new version and it went dead. me a qd were the only ones playing it a lot of times too. and when it did fill up qd would go on a rampage about just every thing and anything a player would do that pissed him of.  ohyea  and plasti boy use to play in the cod server with us every now and then too, haven't talked to ether of them in a few years tho. pepsieman and Master Sargent use to play in there also everynow and then.


i would join you guys in a game but i would have to do some digging to see were my disks are for cod2 game. right now im going to be spending most my time setting up the mod for the snipe sever for a bit so il have all my band with running to ftp maps into the server. but when i get done doing all that ill start looking for the disk unless run across them whenworking on the snipe mod.

was that map called white out. forsome resion im thinking that was the map name your talking about i could be wrong its be a while.

I apologize if I came across as snippy. I did misunderstand, and as DB mentioned, we've had some "bumps in the road" over the last 8 years...so I can be a bit over-protective sometimes..

I played COD2 here and there, but I was so dam hooked on COD1 that I hardly left the server...lol. Again, I'm sorry that I don't remember you guys. Maybe if you had played more in our COD1 servers? Obviously I know all the other former members you mentioned though. Iceman ended up actually getting banned for hacking, among other things.

Honestly, it's kind of amazing that there are still 3 of you out there playing together. That's pretty cool. I will look for my #2 discs as well. I've had every COD ever made with the exception of some of those add-ons they made for Playstations that never made it to the PCs. Heck, could prob pick a copy up at a GameStop for like $5.

But anyways, I'd like to shoot you guys too. Probably get my ass handed to me, because I've been playing all the newer stuff lately. I tried a COD1 server a while back and couldn't even remember how to toss a nade...lol Do you guys play other CODs too? I know TNT has been wanting to get back into 1 and UO.

Do you have a website? If not, maybe we can work something out...like adding your server to our line up for more exposure? Just a thought. We may be able to work together on a bunch of stuff, but this is all open for discussion. Seems there could be many options to think about...

Ok guys, it would be great if you really could come and play some nice games with us.
The map I was talking about is Borisovka, Russia which grows around a cemetery and has many accessible buildings, most of them with several floors—perfect for who loves snipers!—; I'm not sure but I think I preserved that map too...
Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure to play cod1 with you guys: at the time I was just 13. My game friends and I also play cod5 (world at war), but we spend most of time on cod2.
Some years ago we used to have a popular website—the clan was made up of more than 20 experienced players all over the world—but cod2 became old fashioned and it was abandoned little by little. I would really like working something out with you—by the way, good luck for the snipe mod!

humm...... I think I got in around '05, and played 1 more than 2, but your name does not ring a bell..........

DB,HD, I think if you do a google on AOW, the clan comes up in Germany...... and they use/used tags similar to ours....I found them by accident years ago..... might not be that way now though....

Last time I did a search for AOW there was like a million hits. Even found a cool (but weird) metal band...

The server ip is 192.168.1.45:28961 but it won't be available until next week because we are working out some new particular details at the moment.
